Range Rover has taken the wraps off the new Range Rover GT, previewing a fifth member of its luxury SUV family and providing the first look at a model expected to arrive in Australia following its global debut.
Positioned as a grand tourer rather than a traditional SUV, the Range Rover GT combines sleek coupé-inspired styling, long-distance comfort and electric performance with the off-road capability that has defined the Range Rover name for decades.
The new model will also become the first all-electric Range Rover built on Jaguar Land Rover’s new Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) platform.

Australia-bound electric Range Rover enters final testing
Prototype versions of the Range Rover GT are currently completing final validation testing ahead of a full reveal later this year.
Wrapped in a bespoke camouflage design inspired by the landscape surrounding Gaydon, the UK home of Range Rover’s design and engineering teams, the prototypes reveal a lower-slung silhouette and more sporting proportions than existing Range Rover models.
While local launch timing has yet to be confirmed, the GT is expected to play a key role in Range Rover’s growing electric vehicle portfolio in Australia, where demand for premium electric SUVs continues to grow.

First look inside the Range Rover GT cabin
Range Rover has also provided the first official preview of the GT’s interior, which adopts a minimalist design focused on comfort, simplicity and reduced visual clutter.
A new single-screen interface takes centre stage, supported by a dedicated driver display that replaces a traditional instrument cluster. A concealed full-width air vent stretches across the dashboard, while a woven textile material integrates speakers within the fascia for a cleaner appearance.
The company says the cabin has been designed as a “sanctuary of calm”, with reduced visual and acoustic distractions, while class-leading second-row legroom aims to make the GT a compelling long-distance tourer.

First electric Range Rover built on EMA platform
The Range Rover GT will launch initially as a battery-electric vehicle and will be manufactured at JLR’s Halewood facility in the United Kingdom.
It will be the first Range Rover to utilise the EMA architecture, which has been developed to support next-generation electrified vehicles. Range Rover has also confirmed that hybrid-electric variants are planned later in the model’s lifecycle.
