Škoda has officially unveiled the new Škoda Epiq, marking the debut of the Czech brand’s most affordable electric vehicle to date. Revealed during a global premiere event in Zurich, the compact electric SUV introduces Škoda’s evolving “Modern Solid” design philosophy while expanding the brand’s growing EV lineup beneath the larger Enyaq and Elroq models.
The Epiq is positioned as a city-focused electric crossover, but Škoda says practicality remains central to the vehicle’s identity. The model combines compact exterior dimensions with a spacious cabin, new-generation digital technology and a targeted electric driving range aimed at mainstream buyers.

Škoda’s new EV design direction debuts on the Epiq
The Škoda Epiq is one of the first production models to fully showcase Škoda’s latest “Modern Solid” design language. The exterior features a cleaner and more upright appearance compared to previous Škoda SUVs, highlighted by a closed-off front fascia, sharp body surfacing and distinctive T-shaped lighting signatures.
The compact SUV also adopts Škoda’s “Tech-Deck” styling approach, which replaces a traditional grille with a smoother front-end treatment designed to integrate sensors and aerodynamic elements more cleanly. The upright proportions and squared-off detailing are intended to maximise interior packaging while maintaining a rugged crossover stance.

Positioned as Škoda’s most affordable EV

Škoda says the Epiq will become the brand’s entry point into electric mobility, targeting buyers looking for a smaller and more attainable EV option. International reports suggest pricing is expected to begin from around €25,000 in Europe, placing it directly in the growing affordable compact EV segment.
The Epiq sits below the Škoda Enyaq and Škoda Elroq in Škoda’s expanding electric lineup and is expected to compete against other small urban EV crossovers from European and Chinese manufacturers.
Interior focuses on practicality and digital technology

Inside, the Škoda Epiq combines minimalist styling with a technology-heavy layout. Škoda has previewed a large central infotainment display, simplified dashboard architecture and sustainable cabin materials as part of the model’s broader EV-focused direction.
Practicality remains a major selling point, with Škoda continuing to emphasise its “Simply Clever” storage solutions and efficient cabin packaging. International reports also indicate the Epiq will offer generous cargo capacity for its size, alongside new connectivity and driver-assistance technologies.

Electric range and platform details emerge

The Škoda Epiq is expected to use Volkswagen Group’s MEB-based electric architecture shared with several upcoming compact EVs across the group. Reports suggest the SUV could offer a driving range of up to around 440km, depending on battery specification and market configuration.
Škoda is also expected to offer multiple battery and powertrain variants globally, with front-wheel-drive configurations likely forming the core lineup. Fast-charging capability and bidirectional charging functionality are also expected in some variants.
Could the Škoda Epiq come to Australia?

While Škoda Australia has not officially confirmed local timing following the world premiere, previous international reports have indicated Australia is expected to be among the first non-European markets to receive the Epiq.
The compact EV segment continues to grow in Australia as brands push toward more affordable electric vehicles, making the Epiq a potentially important addition for Škoda’s local lineup if confirmed for Australian showrooms.
For now, the Epiq represents another major step in Škoda’s broader EV expansion strategy, combining smaller dimensions, mainstream pricing ambitions and practical crossover packaging in a format aimed squarely at urban buyers.
