Trade-in bonuses offer extra savings

2027 Model Y Performance received a permanent price cut

Tesla made another significant pricing move at the start of October, when it permanently reduced the Australian retail price of the flagship 2027 Model Y Performance by $4500.

The change followed Tesla’s production shift for the flagship variant. While lower-tier Model Y vehicles for Australia already came from Shanghai, Tesla officially moved Model Y Performance production from its Berlin-Brandenburg factory in Germany to its Gigafactory in Shanghai, China.

These updated MY27 vehicles also introduce Tesla’s PowerShare vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, which allows the car to power external appliances.
