MINI Australia has announced pricing and technical updates for the 2026 Countryman range in Australia, with petrol variants gaining 48-volt mild-hybrid technology and electric versions receiving a new Silicon Carbide (SiC) inverter for improved efficiency and driving range. Prices start from $54,490 before on-road costs.
The updates apply to vehicles produced from March 2026 onwards and bring more power for petrol models, improved efficiency for electric variants, and compliance with the latest EU6e emissions standards and WLTP certification requirements.
The updates arrive less than two years after the current-generation Countryman launched in Australia, with MINI focusing on improved efficiency and emissions compliance rather than major styling or equipment changes.

A more capable MINI Countryman range
MINI says the latest lineup updates strengthen the Countryman’s position as the brand’s most versatile model by delivering:
- Improved performance through electrification
- Greater efficiency across petrol and electric powertrains
- Enhanced electric driving capability
- Increased practicality and consistency across the range
Whether buyers choose a petrol or fully electric model, the updated Countryman lineup promises a more refined and capable driving experience.
Mild-hybrid technology boosts petrol Countryman models
The biggest change here is the introduction of 48-volt mild-hybrid technology across the petrol variants. The electrified system allows both vehicles to recover and redeploy energy in motion, improving efficiency and drivability while maintaining MINI’s trademark go-kart-like handling characteristics.
MINI Countryman C
The entry-level petrol Countryman now produces:
- 125kW of power (+10kW)
- 280Nm of torque (+50Nm)
Performance has also improved, with the 0-100km/h sprint reduced by 0.7 seconds to 8.3 seconds. Official fuel consumption is rated at 6.9L/100km, while CO₂ emissions are listed at 155g/km.
MINI Countryman S ALL4
The more powerful all-wheel-drive Countryman S ALL4 now delivers:
- 160kW of power (+10kW)
- 360Nm of torque (+50Nm)

Electric Countryman gains efficiency upgrade

MINI’s fully electric Countryman models also receive a significant hardware enhancement thanks to a new Silicon Carbide (SiC) inverter. According to the British carmaker, the new inverter offers these upgrades from the same 64kWh battery:
- More efficient energy conversion and power delivery
- Improved energy recuperation during braking
- Enhanced overall drivetrain efficiency
The electric lineup’s improved WLTP driving range figures are:
- MINI Countryman E: Up to 501km, up from 462km (+39km)
- MINI Countryman SE ALL4: Up to 467km, up from 433km (+34km)

JCW Countryman retains performance focus
The high-performance MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 has also been updated to comply with the latest emissions regulations. However, its core performance credentials remain unchanged. Its key performance figures include:
- 400Nm of torque
- No change to acceleration performance
- Fuel consumption of 8.3L/100km
- CO₂ emissions of 188g/km
Bottom line
MINI has given the Countryman range a meaningful update for 2026, introducing new 48V mild-hybrid technology that boosts power and performance in petrol models while improving efficiency in its electric variants through a new Silicon Carbide inverter.
With longer EV range potential, stronger petrol performance and updated emissions compliance across the lineup, the Countryman continues to evolve as MINI’s most versatile crossover SUV in Australia.
