Honda Australia has officially announced pricing for its first battery-electric vehicle (BEV), the 2026 Honda Super-One. The announcement follows a staging website leak in late July, discovered by a Reddit user, which showed prices around $38,900.
The official drive-away pricing comes in lower than these leaked placeholder prices, starting from $36,900 drive-away.
The Atto 1 remains the most affordable EV locally at $23,990, but the Super-One is cheaper than the entry-level Hyundai Inster which starts at $39,000. It’s also significantly less expensive than the Fiat 500e La Prima at $52,500, and the Mini Cooper SE Favoured at $58,990, all before on-road costs.
Honda also says customer interest has exceeded expectations with its Expressions of Interest (EOI) campaign attracting more than 6,500 registrations, surpassing the interest generated by the Honda Civic Type R FL5.
2026 Honda Super-One pricing and release date
Buyers can get their hands on the compacti Super-One EV for $36,900 drive-away, positioning it just above the high-value Honda HR-V Vi X. The Two-Tone grade is priced $500 higher and adds an exclusive Violet Boost exterior finish with a black roof.

Honda has opened pre-orders for this small EV across Australia. The company says strong demand in Japan and other overseas markets means fewer than 130 vehicles will be available for Australian delivery during 2026.
Honda expects larger supply volumes to arrive in early 2027, while customer deliveries will begin from 1 October 2026.
2026 Honda Super-One powertrain and performance
The compact Super-One EV uses a 29.6kWh lithium-ion battery designed primarily for urban use, and Honda claims it offers up to 253km of driving range, advanced regenerative braking, and one-pedal driving capability. It can charge from 15% to 80% in 30 minutes using DC fast charging.

Honda says driving enjoyment remains a key focus of the Super-One as it offers several drive modes, including Boost Mode.
The Boost mode increases power from 47kW to 70kW and produces 162Nm of torque, simulates a 7-speed transmission, and adds Active Sound Control, which plays a synthesised engine-style sound through the cabin based on driving inputs.
2026 Honda Super-One exterior and dimensions
The Super-One is based on the Japan-only Honda N-One e:kei car and weighs just 1,093kg while measuring 3.5 metres in length.
Its retro-inspired styling which takes cues from the 1980s Honda City Turbo II and includes enlarged wheel arches, a roof spoiler, and black alloy wheels. The mini EV also has a practical front grille-mounted charging port and the Magic Seats inside.
