The 2026 Subaru Uncharted has officially gone on sale in Australia, with customer deliveries commencing and test drives now available at Subaru retailers nationwide.
Joining the Subaru Solterra and the recently revealed Trailseeker, the Uncharted becomes the brand’s smallest Sport Electric Vehicle (SEV) and expands Subaru Australia’s electric SUV lineup across the small, medium and large SUV segments.
Priced from $59,990 Manufacturer’s List Price (MLP) before on-road costs, the Uncharted is currently available in a single AWD variant, with panoramic roof and two-tone exterior paint option packages also offered.

2026 Subaru Uncharted powertrain, battery and range
Powering the Uncharted is a dual-motor electric drivetrain producing a combined 252kW, helping the electric SUV accelerate from 0-100km/h in around five seconds.
The powertrain is paired with a 74.7kWh CATL lithium-ion battery, which delivers a claimed WLTP driving range of up to 522km.
For charging, the Uncharted supports 150kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 10 to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes under suitable conditions.
Drivers can also adjust regenerative braking through five selectable levels using steering-wheel paddles, enabling near one-pedal driving at the highest setting.

Subaru retains its all-wheel-drive capability
Although fully electric, Subaru says the Uncharted continues to deliver the capability expected from the brand.

- 211mm ground clearance
The SUV also features a 1,500W Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlet, allowing the battery to power external appliances during camping trips or other outdoor activities.
Subaru says the battery’s low-floor placement contributes to a lower centre of gravity, while a 5.5-metre turning circle is designed to improve manoeuvrability in urban environments.

Exterior design
The Uncharted adopts a more coupe-like appearance than Subaru’s other electric SUVs.
Exterior highlights include:

- Thin LED signature lighting
- Flush rear door handles
- 20-inch alloy wheels
- Wide stance and sculpted bodywork
Despite the sloping roofline, Subaru says the electric SUV still offers generous rear passenger space and boot capacity.
Interior and technology
Inside, the Uncharted features a minimalist cabin centred around a 14-inch high-definition touchscreen, complemented by a 7-inch digital Multi-Information Display.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, while frequently used controls remain accessible through physical buttons.

According to Subaru, the system combines camera and radar technology to monitor surrounding traffic and assist the driver when required.

Scott Lawrence, General Manager of Subaru Australia, said the Uncharted combines engaging electric performance with the capability customers expect from the brand.
He said the compact electric SUV has been designed to make everyday driving enjoyable while retaining Subaru’s trademark Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and versatility for trips beyond sealed roads.
