Hyundai Motor Company Australia has launched the refreshed 2027 Staria and Staria Load, introducing a new hybrid powertrain across its passenger and commercial van range, updated styling, new technology and a flagship seven-seat Staria Lounge.
The updated models are available to order now, with prices starting from $49,990 before on-road costs for the Staria Load and $54,300 before on-road costs for the passenger Staria. Hyundai has also confirmed an all-electric Staria Load will join the range in the second half of 2026.
The headline mechanical change includes a new 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol-hybrid powertrain producing 180kW and 304Nm, offered in the new Staria Lounge and both Staria Load hybrid variants. Hyundai says the latter is the first commercial van in its segment in Australia to offer a hybrid powertrain. The existing 2.2-litre turbo-diesel (130kW) and 3.5-litre petrol V6 (200kW) remain available in the passenger Staria, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while hybrid models use a six-speed automatic.
