2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE powertrain and performance

The refreshed 2027 GLE range offers updated diesel, petrol and high-performance engines.

The GLE 350 d 4Matic SUV now uses a new-generation six-cylinder diesel engine, replacing the previous four-cylinder unit. It also uses a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, and the engine can restart quickly using its integrated starter generator.

The regular GLE engines use the same 48-volt support system to help the vehicle move smoothly from coasting with the engine off to accelerating under engine power.

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 SUV and GLE 53 Coupé use a redeveloped 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine. Its output has increased to 330kW and 600Nm, up from the previous 320kW and 560Nm.

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ SUV and Coupé sit at the top of the range and use a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 producing 450kW and 850Nm.

Both GLE 53 and GLE 63 S models receive AMG performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive, AMG Ride Control+ suspension, and an AMG high-performance braking system.
