2027 Audi Q6 e-tron price cut brings more equipment

Audi has made its electric SUV flagship better value in two separate ways. First, there’s a drive-away deal on the current Audi Q6 e-tron sport edition, available right now but only for a limited time. Second, there’s a genuinely reworked 2027 model year Audi Q6 e-tron and Audi SQ6 e-tron range, arriving in Australia in the first half of next year with more gear included as standard and pricing designed to make the most of government EV incentives and higher Luxury Car Tax thresholds.

Audi Q6 e-tron sport edition: $95,900 drive-away, for a limited time only

If you want a Q6 e-tron now rather than next year, the sport edition is the one to look at. It’s available in both SUV and Sportback body styles, priced from $95,900 drive-away, but that offer only applies to vehicles ordered before the end of October 2026, so it’s not going to hang around.

Audi has added 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof and metallic paint as standard equipment on this edition. Power comes from a single rear-mounted electric motor drawing on an 83kWh battery, producing 185kW (215kW with launch control), with 0-100km/h done in 7.6 seconds, or 7.0 seconds flat with launch control engaged. DC fast charging tops out at 225kW, meaning a 10-80 per cent charge takes just over 20 minutes under good conditions. That’s a solid number for anyone planning regular highway trips.

2027 Audi Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron pricing and specs

The bigger news for Australian buyers is what’s coming from October 2026 production, landing here in the first half of 2027. Pricing starts from $89,900 (MLP) for the Q6 e-tron, available in SUV or Sportback form, while the performance-focused SQ6 e-tron opens at $129,900 for the SUV and $134,900 for the Sportback.

Audi says the revised structure is built to help buyers benefit from higher LCT thresholds, and for SQ6 e-tron customers, that translates to a saving of up to $22,800.

Standard equipment gets a genuine upgrade too, with both models now including metallic paint, a panoramic sunroof and 20-inch Audi Sport wheels from the factory. Inside, there’s an 11.9-inch digital driver display, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen and a 10.9-inch passenger display, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 180-watt 10-speaker sound system. Safety kit is comprehensive as standard too, adaptive cruise with lane centring, 360-degree cameras and a front dash cam are all included, not optioned extras.

Audi SQ6 e-tron: the performance flagship

Step up to the SQ6 e-tron and you get dual electric motors producing a combined 360kW (380kW with launch control), enough for a 4.3-second 0-100km/h sprint. Its larger 100kWh battery supports DC charging up to 270kW, with a 10-80 per cent charge taking around 21 minutes.

On top of the Q6 e-tron’s standard features, the SQ6 e-tron adds adaptive air suspension, 21-inch wheels, red brake calipers, a black exterior styling pack, and a 705-watt, 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

What does it mean for Australian buyers?

In a segment where options can quickly inflate the price, folding more equipment into the standard specification, rather than leaving it as a paid extra, genuinely lowers the real cost of ownership. Combined with EV incentive eligibility and the higher LCT threshold, the 2027 pricing effectively brings this segment within easier reach for buyers who’ve been circling it.
