The Subaru Trailseeker has secured a five-star ANCAP safety rating in the latest round of safety assessments, joining the Toyota Hilux BEV and Subaru Uncharted among the vehicles awarded ANCAP’s highest safety score. The BMW 1 Series and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, meanwhile, received four-star ratings.

The new electric SUV, which launched in Australia in May 2026, achieved strong results across all four ANCAP assessment categories. The rating applies to all Subaru Trailseeker variants built from March 2026 onwards.

“The addition of the Trailseeker and Uncharted to Subaru’s growing electric portfolio sees yet more safe choices for consumers,” said ANCAP Chief Executive Officer Carla Hoorweg.
