Key highlights:
- Zeekr opens its first global standalone body repair centre
- The Sydney facility has 36 repair bays
- Zeekr targets 20,000 annual Australian deliveries
Zeekr has opened its first standalone body repair centre anywhere in the world, and it has chosen Australia for the facility. The new centre opened over the weekend at Five Dock in Sydney’s Inner West as the Geely-owned electric-car brand prepares for another major expansion in Australia.
The 2500 metre square facility has 36 repair bays and can service more than 150 vehicles each month, while Zeekr says it can support repairs for 120 vehicles per month with an average target turnaround of 10 days.
New centre handles major repairs

The facility employs eight Zeekr-trained technicians and uses genuine Zeekr parts and it can handle a wide range of repair work, including:
- Manufacturer-specific diagnostics
- Structural repairs
- Panel repairs
- Paint work
- ADAS calibration
The dedicated facility gives Zeekr its own repair operation rather than relying entirely on existing third-party repair networks.
“Opening the world’s first standalone Zeekr Body Repair Centre is tangible proof of our long-term commitment to Australia and the confidence we have in this market,” said Zeekr Australia managing director Frank Li.

Zeekr passes 10,000 Australian deliveries

Zeekr has delivered more than 10,000 vehicles in Australia since arriving here in late 2024, and Li says the brand has made Australia one of its most important global growth markets.
“In less than two years, more than 10,000 vehicles have been delivered in Australia, making us the country’s fastest-growing automotive brand and a major player in the premium EV market,” he said.
“As we accelerate towards 20,000 deliveries, we’ll continue investing in the infrastructure, expertise and customer experience that support our next phase of growth.”
Zeekr recorded a relatively slow start with the X small electric SUV and 009 electric people mover, but the arrival of the 7X mid-size electric SUV late last year gave sales a significant boost.
Zeekr outsells several premium brands
To the end of August, Zeekr had delivered 10,070 vehicles in Australia during 2026, which puts it ahead of fellow Geely-owned brands and rivals Volvo and Polestar.
| Brand | 2026 YTD sales until August |
|---|---|
| Zeekr | 10,070 |
| Lexus | 8515 |
| Audi | 7685 |
| Volvo | 4711 |
| Denza | 2954 |
| Polestar | 1481 |
Zeekr has therefore delivered more vehicles than Lexus, Audi, Volvo and Denza during the period.
Model range set to double

Zeekr plans to double the size of its Australian model lineup by the end of 2027, and the next major addition will be the 7GT electric sports wagon, which is scheduled to launch during the fourth quarter of 2026, between October and December.
Customer deliveries are due to begin during the first quarter of 2027, between January and March.
The brand will also introduce its first plug-in hybrids in Australia during 2027, which will include the 8X large SUV and the even larger 9X.
This expanding lineup will support Zeekr’s target of reaching 20,000 Australian deliveries while the company continues building its local sales, service and repair infrastructure.
