Pricing of the facelifted Mercedes-Maybach S-Class
Mercedes-Benz Australia has added an all-new 48-volt mild-hybrid V8 S580 variant with an initial 17kW power boost feature in the 2027 Maybach S-Class. The luxury brand will also offer several option packages for the Maybach S-Class.
| Variant | Price (before on-road costs) |
|---|---|
| 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S580 V8 | $517,900 (New) |
| 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S680 V12 | $582,428 |
The $24,200 First Class Package converts the cabin to a 4-seat layout, extends the centre console into the second row and adds a refrigerator and champagne flutes.
The $34,900 Night Series Package adds unique 20-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, darkened Maybach exterior badges, illuminated door sills and also includes Nappa leather upholstery and open-pore walnut trim.
Buyers can further personalise the car through Manufaktur exterior paint and leather upholstery packages, priced from $24,300 and $27,600 respectively.
New S580 brings V8 power
The Mercedes-Maybach S580 uses an M177 Evo 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine producing 395kW and 750Nm. It has a 48V mild-hybrid system that adds an integrated starter-generator producing 17kW and 205Nm of assistance.
The Evo engine gains a flat-plane crankshaft and revised fuel-injection system, among other changes that help it meet stricter Euro 7 emissions requirements.
The S580 accelerates from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds. It also comes with E-Active Body Control, which combines adaptive damping with a road-surface memory function and the system can memorise the locations of speed bumps and other road-surface interruptions for up to 14 days.
Mercedes-Maybach has also increased sound insulation, with the company claiming the updated models provide a quieter cabin than their predecessors.
Mercedes-Benz also uses the same upgraded V8 in the regular S-Class, while earlier versions of the M177 engine family power Aston Martin’s DB12 coupe and DBX SUV.

V12 S680 remains the flagship
The Maybach S680 continues at the top of the range. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine continues to produce 463kW and 900Nm, and it sends power through a nine-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. The S680 matches the S580’s 4.5-second 0-100km/h acceleration time.
Maybach follows the updated S-Class

The 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class pushes luxury beyond the standard S-Class by transforming from a premium executive sedan into an ultra-exclusive, chauffeur-driven rolling lounge.
The Maybach adds 180mm to the wheelbase of the standard S-Class (S580 L) to offer more rear legroom. It also adds Active Body Control suspension, Maybach drive mode, and 10-degree rear-axle steering.
Design-wise, the Maybach variants add an exclusive signature grille, unique C-pillar design, Rose Gold accents in the headlamps, floating wheel centre caps and optional two-tone paintwork.
Mercedes-Benz has also upgraded interior luxury and comfort in the Maybach with dual executive reclining chairs, power comfort doors, enhanced acoustic isolation, and exclusive ambient lighting.
Massive glass MBUX Superscreen with the next-generation MB.OS architecture is common in both lineups, but the Maybach adds dual 13.1-inch rear screens and high-end 4D surround sound.
