Range Rover has unveiled a one-of-a-kind 1993 Range Rover Classic, meticulously restored and customised to match the recently revealed Range Rover SV Ultra. While the bespoke pair is destined for auction in the United States, the project offers Australian Range Rover buyers and collectors a glimpse into the brand’s growing personalisation and Classic Works capabilities.
Created by Land Rover Classic Works, the unique commission pairs a heritage Range Rover with the latest expression of the marque’s luxury SUV philosophy. The two vehicles will make their public debut at Monterey Car Week in California before being offered together as a matched pair through RM Sotheby’s.

Bespoke Range Rover Classic inspired by SV Ultra
The restored 1993 Range Rover Classic is finished in Titan Silver, a paint colour introduced on the new Range Rover SV Ultra. The finish uses fine aluminium flakes and advanced pigment technology to create a highly reflective appearance reminiscent of liquid metal.
Several exterior details have been tailored to mirror the modern flagship luxury SUV, including:
- 16-inch three-spoke alloy wheels finished in Satin Platinum Atlas with diamond-turned accents
- Range Rover SV Ultra bonnet script
- Removed side body trim for a cleaner, more contemporary look
- A bespoke under-bonnet plaque identifying the vehicle as the first matched-pair commission
The result is a bespoke Range Rover Classic that combines original design cues with modern luxury-inspired detailing.
Luxury interior echoes the flagship SUV
Inside, the Range Rover Classic adopts the same Orchid White and Cinder Grey dual-tone theme used in the Range Rover SV Ultra.
The restoration also marks the first use of Ultrafabrics™ upholstery in a Range Rover Classic. The dashboard is trimmed in Cinder Grey, while the steering wheel features a two-tone finish matching the rest of the cabin.
The seats incorporate the same laser-crafted pattern and intricate mosaic perforation design first seen on the SV Ultra. Bespoke door trims further elevate the cabin with brushed aluminium handles, colour-matched speaker covers and custom finishers.
Range Rover says the interior was designed to deliver a calm, contemporary environment while preserving the character of the original vehicle.

More than 2,000 hours of restoration work
The bespoke Range Rover Classic started life as a US-market Range Rover County Edition and retains its 3.9-litre naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.
According to Range Rover, a specialist team spent more than 2,000 hours completing the restoration, covering fabrication, paintwork, trimming and final assembly.
Mechanical authenticity remained a key focus throughout the project. The Classic Works team carried out a comprehensive rebuild of the engine, transmission, suspension, steering and braking systems to improve reliability and refinement while maintaining the vehicle’s original character.
The finished product represents a blend of heritage and modern craftsmanship, making it one of the most distinctive Range Rover Classic restoration projects completed by Land Rover Classic Works.

Customers can commission custom paint colours, unique interior trims, personalised embroidery and a variety of bespoke details. The company also offers a “Match to Sample” service, allowing owners to replicate virtually any exterior colour.
Range Rover’s Classic commissioning programme enables clients to work directly with in-house designers and engineers to create tailored heritage vehicles that reflect their individual preferences.
Monterey Car Week debut and auction
The matched pair will be displayed at the RM Sotheby’s Auction Preview at the Monterey Conference Center from August 12 to August 14, 2026.
The vehicles will then cross the auction block together during RM Sotheby’s Monterey Auction on August 14, giving collectors a rare opportunity to acquire both a handcrafted Range Rover Classic and the latest Range Rover SV Ultra as a single lot.
