2026 Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 price and specs revealed in Australia

Mercedes-Benz Australia has announced local pricing and specifications for the 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 4MATIC+ SUV and Coupé. The performance-focused luxury SUVs gain a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid assistance, extensive standard equipment and several optional packages designed to enhance performance, comfort and styling.

The GLC 53 SUV is priced from $140,600 before on-road costs, while the sleeker GLC 53 Coupé starts at $151,300 before on-road costs.

2026 Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 engine and performance

Powering both body styles is a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and an electric auxiliary supercharger.

The powertrain produces 330kW and 600Nm, with an additional 40Nm available temporarily through an overboost function. Mercedes-AMG claims a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.2 seconds.

The engine is matched to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G automatic transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive.

Supporting the performance credentials are AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension, rear-axle steering and a second-generation integrated starter-generator, which assists with acceleration, energy recuperation and smoother engine restarts.

Official fuel consumption is rated at 9.6L/100km under NEDC testing.

AMG Real Performance Sound standard in Australia

Australian-delivered GLC 53 models come standard with AMG Real Performance Sound, which allows drivers to adjust the exhaust character depending on the selected drive mode.

The system works alongside a dedicated AMG exhaust setup featuring special resonators that amplify the six-cylinder engine’s soundtrack.
